Inverters
Size an inverter for the biggest appliance you run at the same time, then check the surge rating: a compressor fridge pulls about five times its running power for the moment it starts, a motor about three times. Electronics and anything with a motor want a pure sine output.
On a 12 V system a 2,000 W inverter draws about 185 A from the battery at full load, so the BMS, the main fuse and the cable must all be sized for that current. An inverter-charger adds a mains charger and an automatic transfer switch for shore power in one box.
